Overly Vocal Cat

My cat vocalizes excessively. Almost constantly and at a high volume. I have tried spraying him with water when this happens, ignoring him, and a number of other things that I have found on the web. He is a neutered male cat that is 7 years old and I am at my wit's end with him. Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts? Thank you!!

You should try to take him

You should try to take him into the vet-chances are it may be nothing, but it could be a medical problem. We had this happen right around 7 with our already vocal Siamese boy, and he was diagnosed with constipation. I know that sounds like nothing, but it was causing him to go into kidney failure.

Before he starts marking and going in places other than the little box, be sure to get his bowels checked out.

Remedy was prescribed by the vet: a cat enema by the techincian there, and a cat water fountain. He was not getting enough water. The other thing you can do is not feed any corn based food, as that is the worst thing for kitty.

good luck!
