Why in God's green earth do

Why in God's green earth do you feel the need to give your dog those human food items???? Dogs are not picky, if you must give them something how about a dog biscuit???? The caffeine could cause heart problems in your dog and mints particularly those that contain sugar substitutes can be FATAL to dogs. If your dog has bad breath get their teeth cleaned or buy some DOG biscuits designed to alleviate bad breath.

NO i do not give it to

NO i do not give it to him!!!!!!!!!! he got into my coffee and the mints on the table .I had an emergency and forgot to shut the door tight!! i just was not sure if he would get sick.

Call a vet. Tell them what

Call a vet. Tell them what happened because
everything that RallyO described above is true and those items can have devastating
and fatal side effects.

Good news Cindy! Thanks for the update.

In the future I would

In the future I would suggest calling your vet immediately or using one of the hotlines for animal poisonings such as the Pet Poison Helpline 800-213-6680. Waiting for someone to respond to a blog posting could take hours or even days which is why I assumed it was NOT an emergency.

And perhaps in the future

And perhaps in the future you can contain your kneejerk reactions until you know the whole story...just a though.
