St. Paul Looking For Dog Park Committee Members

The St. Paul Parks and Recreation Commission is accepting applications for residents interested in serving on the Off-Leash Dog Area (OLDA) committee.

The purpose of the OLDA committee:
1) Advise the Parks and Recreation Commission and Division of Parks and Recreation on off-leash dog area issues;
2) Work with staff to identify and establish additional off-leash dog areas which area accessible to all Saint Paul residents and meet the public demand;
3) Research and make recommendations for establishing a "user fee" for off-leash dog areas, and;
4) Promote the positive social and health benefits of recreation activities with dogs and how they complement the overall park system.

Applications can also be obtained from AND submitted to Eric Thompson via e-mail at eric.thompson@ci.stpaul.mn.us .

Applications should be submitted by November 30, 2008 so they can be presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission at their December meeting.
