A Healthy Partnership

I love entrepreneurial thinking. Two seemingly different companies, Walker Elder Suites and dog training business Fresh Air Training have come together to create a symbiotic relationship. Fresh Air Training runs its Pint Size Play group every Sunday at Walker Elder Suites and it couldn't be a healthier relationship—for the businesses, the dogs and the residents who live at Walker.
Research shows there are many health benefits from merely petting, talking to or watching a companion animal. Which is why Walker Elder Suites invites Fresh Air Training to conduct its Pint Size Play group every Sunday at its resident facility.
Participants in the play group pay a nominal fee to Wendy, owner of Fresh Air Training, to provide a safe and supervised playing environment for their small canines. The Walker sees great value in providing the space. The residents, many who haven't missed a play session, enjoy watching the small dogs' antics. Everyone is happy. And that is a great story.

Therapy dogs are a great
Therapy dogs are a great idea. I encourage anyone with a good-tempered dog to try it. My sister used to take our recently deceased golden retriever to a home. He was such a people-dog that it was as therapeutic for him, in his old age, as it was for the elderly residents. He had a smile on his face, and they had smiles on theirs.
